In the framework of 16 days of activism against gender-based violence was inaugurated on December 5, the Social Cause Club in Dajç, Municipality of Shkodër.
The club is set up in the premises of the Community Center for the Family, and is serving as a place for women and girls, survivors of gender-based violence to socialize, to receive psychological and legal support, as well as to gain new knowledge and to develop their skills for more employment opportunities.
The inauguration activity was focused on women and girls empowerment, raising awareness of all forms of violence, its prevention and providing integrated social care support services.
In the inauguration activity were present high-level participants from the EU Delegation, Municipality of Shkodra, Different & Equal and KMOP, as well as representative from Dajç Administrative Unit, private businesses, women and girls from the area, including victims of gender-based violence, as well as residents of the area etc.
This activity was organized by the Municipality of Shkodra, the Organization “Different & Equal” and KMOP – Center for Social Action and Innovation (Greece), in the framework of the joint project “Tightening up the Victims’ Empowering Systems in Albania@ Shkodër (TVESA@ Sh)”.
The project is part of the programme “EU support to Social Inclusion in Albania”, which aims to contribute to increase access, coverage and inclusiveness of social services and the provision of inclusive education and employment opportunities.
