As part of the ongoing efforts to support victims of gender-based violence and human trafficking in Albania, an online workshop will be held on 20 May 2025, focusing on improving childcare and alternative care systems in the Municipality of Shkodër.

Organised within the framework of the TVESA project, this event brings together professionals from Albania, Greece, and the broader EU to exchange insights and practical strategies for inclusive, trauma-informed childcare for children of survivors.

The session will take place online from 14:00 to 15:30 (Albanian time) and will feature expert contributions, local experiences, and a collaborative dialogue on innovative approaches and policy alignment with EU standards.

Highlights of the Workshop:

• Expert Presentation by Ms. Marina Grammatikopoulou, Legal High Court Expert in Social Justice and Human Rights, on: “Advancing Childcare through Innovation and Policy: Insights from Greece and the EU Child Guarantee.”
• Overview of current childcare services in Shkodër and key challenges presented by local authorities.
• Exchange of best practices and case studies from Albania and Greece.
• Presentation of the TVESA initiative’s achievements and future collaboration prospects.
