Strengthening Psychosocial Teams: Wellbeing and Team Cohesion Workshop in Shkodër Municipality
June 20, 2025

On 30 May 2025, as part of the TVESA – Tightening up the Victim’s Empowering Systems in Albania project, KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre (lead partner), in partnership with the Municipality of Shkodër and Different & Equal (D&E), organised a second peer workshop aimed at strengthening professional wellbeing and teamwork among local psychosocial service providers.

Through the session, we gathered 28 professionals from the municipality’s psychosocial service team, focusing on burnout prevention, team cohesion, and the importance of a shared understanding of service delivery when working with vulnerable populations.

The workshop was developed in response to key findings from the TVESA’s needs assessment in the municipality, which highlighted challenges such as elevated stress levels, inconsistent coordination, and the resulting negative impact on service quality.

Participants engaged in interactive group exercises, reflective dialogue, and team-building analysis, fostering stronger communication and collaboration. The activities encouraged participants to build mutual understanding and take shared ownership of their role in delivering high-quality support services.

“Workshops like this help us connect and align as a team. When we understand each other better, we provide more responsible and higher-quality services—without burning out,” noted Lori who was a participant.

This initiative is part of TVESA’s project, through which KMOP mission to strengthen Albania’s victim support systems by investing in the wellbeing, resilience, and professional capacity of frontline social workers and municipal service teams.
