On 27 May 2025, as part of the EuropeAid-funded project “TVESA: Tightening up the Victim’s Empowering Systems in Albania”, KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre, in close cooperation with the Municipality of Shkodër and the partner organization Different and Equal (D&E), organized an in-person peer workshop focused on staff wellbeing, burnout prevention, and setting professional boundaries.
Through the activity, we brought together 17 social administrators from the Municipality of Shkodër, following key findings from the project’s needs assessment, which revealed high levels of burnout and the need for stronger team dynamics among frontline social workers.
The workshop titled “Burnout Prevention and Boundaries: Prioritizing Staff Wellbeing” offered a space for reflection, peer connection, and learning. Participants engaged in interactive exercises, team-building challenges, and open discussions to identify practical strategies for managing work-related stress and improving emotional resilience in high-demand professional environments.
“This was the first time I attended a training that focused on our wellbeing and service quality. It made me feel heard, valued, and professionally supported,” shared Flavio, a social administrator.
This initiative forms part of a broader effort under the TVESA project to enhance the sustainability and quality of social care services through capacity building and institutional cooperation at the local level.
